Sugarcube case study

Keeping on top of critical metrics for customers.

Sugarcube Hosting – Offering pain-free technology. 24/7 real engineer availability, hand-configured hosting and zero control panels or tickets.

What do they monitor?

The Sugarcube stack.

Server Density have been trusted with monitoring all this.

We're not alone.

Sugarcube are using Docker, Ansible and Chef alongside Server Density.

How did it happen?

A problem existed. Sugarcube required a new monitoring setup, with accessible extensions to keep an eye on their infrastructure for their customers. They needed a solution to help effectively monitor a number of critical metrics with effective reporting that was easy on the eye.

Flexible setup. Sugarcube's favourite feature is Ops Dashboards. They give the Ops team complete transparancy into the metrics that matter.

  • Very accesible monitoring. Mobile apps, full API, webapp and lots of integrations with Ops tools like Slack, Pagerduty, Hipchat etc.
  • A very clear and well designed interface flags up the right information to the right people.

Houston, we have a problem. Sugarcube were able to respond to detailed alerts, pinpointing bottlenecks that they may have otherwise missed, giving them an opportunity to quickly make the required changes, and offer a better service to their customers.

Sugarcube is covered. Their ops team can keep a close eye on a number of metrics with flexible alert configurations and at-a-glance ops dashboards. Giving them and their customers peace of mind that we’ll update them if there are any problems (even on their iPhone and Android devices).
