Draw Digital Agency

Draw case study

"Monitoring made easy & kinda fun, for nerdy stuff."

Draw is a full service digital agency based in London, offering business
transformation through technology and innovation.

What do they monitor?

The Draw stack — what's powering their service.

Server Density have been trusted with monitoring this.

We're not alone.

Draw are using Github and Slack alongside Server Density.

How did it happen?

A problem existed. Draw needed a flexible and cost effective monitoring tool. A key consideration was the monitoring agent itself, Draw wanted it to be simple to install, and lightweight as they'd had problems with previous installations affecting server performance negatively.

Simple installation. The “light agent footprint” and fully featured API meant Draw were up and running in 3 hours:

  • Custom dashboards that make monitoring easy for different members of the team.
  • Setup of alerts that allow the Draw team to be on the front foot with any issues.
  • Light agent footprint = happy servers.

Houston, we have a problem. When server problems have occurred, Server Density’s advanced alerts via iPhone, Android etc. have allowed the Draw team to fix issues before they become larger problems. The length of server-based issues has dramatically decreased, giving Draw staff time to focus more on their clients and less on what’s going on behind the scenes.

Draw is covered. They can avoid the overheads that go with configuring and monitoring a complex proprietary system. Draw now focus on offering an awesome service to their clients, with peace of mind that they’re covered if we find a problem!
